To be an effective project manager, what must be the qualities an individual must have?
According to the research of ESI International, world leaders in Project Management Training, have managed to collect a tally what are the best qualities a successful project manager must have.
First : He must have an inspiring shared vision. An effective leader can be described as having a vision of where to go and the ability to express it.
Second: He must be a good communicator. The ability of project leader to communicate effectively mean a smooth relationship with his colleagues; thus, making the working environment a productive place for a quality output.
Third: He must be cool even under pressure. A team builder must be calm and must be strong to be able to provide the substance that holds the team together.
Fourth: He must have problem solving skills. Everyone in the team has a problem solving talent. But an effective project leader must have excellent problem solving skills themselves.
Fifth : He must have the ability to delegate tasks. In this way, a project leader knows how to trust his members by delegating them tasks. This is also a way to allow people to participate for a better teamwork.
